The aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 298 km/h while the cruising speed is about 270 km/h. its stall speed is 100 km/h and can travel a total distance of 1,287 km. the service ceiling of Cessna 190 is 5,578 meters while its climb rate is 6.1 m/s.
The aircraft Cessna 190 fuselage was a bit larger if compared to any other Cessna models. It has a radial engine with 42 diameter. The good thing about the aircraft is the fact that it can accommodate its passenger comfortably because the seats have comfortable spaces between each seat. The aircraft also has a flat sprung-steel type of landing gear while other aircrafts of the same model were equipped with the swiveling cross-wind type of landing gear. At first, the aircraft was being sold in an expensive price for any private use that is why Cessna Company marketed the aircraft as a business liner. The aircraft is widely know for its fuel efficiency in which it can consume 5 US gallons of oil tank and 2 US gallons for its minimum flight. The aircraft was introduced at US $ 12,750 in 1947.
